However we were in need of a 'cafe con leche' (considered to be the fuel of the Camino) in order to progress, so we went in. There, we were met with the most amazing smell of baking..... Madeleines straight out of the oven which we were given to taste - wonderful!
So we carried on, past the Hermitage of Ajofrín

We could see blue lakes and snow-capped mountains in the distance.
On the outskirts of Layos we came across the site of their Calvary, used in the re-enactment of the Passion during Holy Week.
We got our first glimpse of Toledo from here.
From then on various familiar buildings could be seen along the Camino as we approached the city.
