Zamora to Montamarta
We have now joined the Camino, Via de la Plata (the old Roman silver route) which starts in Seville so we should meet more pilgrims on the way.
Roales del Pan
We are staying in the Molina de Montamarta - the first mechanised flour mill in the area and now a museum.
El Zangarrón - Montamarta character who rings a cowbell whilst running around the village in January asking for a Christmas bonus....
Another one of those poles that is put up by young men when they reach the age of 18
Today is also a fiesta - St Isodore (farmers again) and Santa Maria del Castillo, patron saint of Montamarta, so another band is playing around the village and tonight at midnight there is to be a rodeo with young bullocks in the Plaza Mayor which is all set up ready for action.

After nearly 10 km we eventually found a bar in Villaralba for a 'cafe con leche'
Went to the local townhall for a sello for my Pilgrim Passport and was given a bag of hazelnuts - local fiesta for St Isidoro the patron saint of farmers
