Unfortunately the Maundy Thursday Procession along the streets was cancelled due to the rain, however the 'procession' was still enacted inside the Cathedral with the heavy statues being raised onto shoulders of penitents and them marking time. The statues swayed in time to the wonderful solemn music played by the five bands also inside the cathedral.
