St Martín de Valdeiglesias to Cebreros

After heavy rain, it was a gloomy start and where we were headed was still under cloud.
The cloud lifted and the mist gradually cleared.
We walked through Middle Earth, through gaps in the rocks that we could only just squeeze through whilst wearing our rucksacks.
Followed the Camino with a shepherd and his flock for a while - his sheep were Spanish Merino crossed with French Indres.
La Puente Valsordo - a Roman Bridge over the Río Alberche that has been in use since 280BC
We could see European Pond Turtles from the bridge
Puente de la Casilla - a more modern bridge.
The ground was saturated from all the heavy rain.....
Ermita de Valsordo (Hermitage)
Today was the patronal day of Cebreros, the Virgin of Valsordo so the place was buzzing!
Most of the town were at the Ermita to celebrate an outdoor Mass and picnic together.
The town band, Spanish Red Cross, Guardia Civil and the fire brigade (maybe due to the number of barbecues) were all in attendance.
